“Learning to write programs stretches your mind, and helps you think better, creates a way of thinking about things that I think is helpful in all domains.“

-Bill Gates

In this day and age where all budding fields and industries are related to computers and technology, it is important that students approaching all industries have some exposure and knowledge in computer programming and coding. Coding is writing the language that computers understand so they do can do what you want them to do; like creating a website. The following resources can help you get started.

iNTEL Developer Zone-powered by INTEL, this database of websties and academies is truly a reliable resource that complies the resources you need to get started!

Kid Coding Resources- Run by CoderDoJo out of Los angeles, this resource provides websites and academies that help children learn at even their young age

TED Blog- In this TED Talk, MIT professor Mitch Resnick talks about the importance of a generation learning code and provides resources to get you started

CodeAcademy- A leading Code teaching experience, Code Academy breaks coding down into understanding steps and lessons.

Another product of the OPENSOURCE initiative, MIT's 'Highlight for High School' (HHS) includes various Science courses and subject areas like:

Biology: The study of life and living organisims, in MIT's HHS Biology courses include molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology.

Chemistry: As the study of matter and energy, chemistry is all around us, from th air we breath, the pollution we see, to the food we eat. The courses included in the HHS initiative are topics as biological chemistry, kitchen chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and

physical chemistry

Physics: Being the study of natural science, physics expands upon Chemistry, and with MIT's Physics courses, students study astrophysics, biophysics, engineering and applied physics, geophysics, management, law, and medicine.

Education is core to becoming socially responsible and foundational to giving the underrepresented youths of a generation the confidence and tools needed to excel in a professional, sustainable, and social enterprising world.

With this in mind, we have complied a series of free SoRe courses and certificate programs that provide the education students and business owners alike need to create a socially responsible society and socially responsible businesses. Feel free to explore one or all of the courses.

We take the time to note that like all things in the world of education and technology, things are always changing. So while we plan to maintain accurate courses and records, the reality is there may be times the courses listed change faster than we can update them. In the unfortunate event that this happens, we encourage you to explore any of the websites and databases cited on our SoRe U Resources Page.

'God made the integers; all else is the work of man.''

-Leopold Kronecker

In the quote above, Mathematician Leoplod Kronecker summed up our basic beliefs relating to math: at its essence, no matter how deep math goes, it is no more than ten integers that repeat and reveal themselves in a wide variety of ways; so we must not fear it.  With this in mind, we believe it is important to help expand the math education that students aim to achieve. The following resources can get you on your way!

Khan Academy- Khan Academy allows you to self pace your way through a variety of levels and topics of Math in a way that you can learn best

MIT OPENSOURCE- MIT continues to innovate with free math courses in advanced math topics as well as basic math topics like Algebra I & Algebra II, Geometry, and fun classes like Mathematics of Toys and Games.

Math Planet- Math Planet is a prominent Math learning provider that offers courses and study guides through Alison Learning. From basic to advanced courses, this

Alison- This leading online learning provider offers other courses in foundational courese like fractions and geometry as well as advanced courses like Calculus and other advanced math.

'We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained.'

-Marie Curie

The greatest belief we have concerning future generations is that all children are gifted at something and it is our duty to help students sort through life and figure out what that is and how that gift will help them better the world.  An undisputed fact concerning Science, Math, and the other STEM focuses is that through the study of those fields, students develop a new way of thinking, of looking at things, and at solving things in a way that helps them thrive regardless what career field they chase. And with an estimated job outlook growth nearly twice of other fields, to teach students starting with STEM sets them up with a solid foundation to get started at life!

Though these courses, high school student and adults alike can begin to learn about enginneering with introductory courses like:

Intro to Computer Science

Intro to Robotics

Fundamentals to Engineering Design

and fun engineering courses like
