"The Harvard Innovation Lab (i-lab) serves as a resource for [those] interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. The programming offered by the i-lab is designed to help students grow their ventures at any stage of development and covers a wide range of disciplines."

 

Though created for Harvard students, through the i-Lab's YouTube channel and website, we as the public have the oppurtunity to gain insight, resources and knowledge from a premier, Ivy-League Business program on topics like Starting a New Venture, Idenitfying your Market, navigating funding for your venture, and developing your business plan...all free of charge!

This Introduction to Social Enterprise was developed by Greg Werheiser and David J. MIller. 'Greg Werkheiser is a social entrepreneur and lawyer tackling major challenges in the fields of leadership development, politics and government, cultural heritage preservation, and civil rights. He has helped pioneer three major leadership development movements over 20 years: civic education, social entrepreneurship, and cross-sector leadership.' 

 

David Miller 'is the Director of Entrepreneurship at the Mason Center for Social Entrepreneurship (MCSE). Miller is also a supporting faculty member at George Mason University’s School of Management (SOM) teaching New Venture Creation and a PhD Candidate at Mason’s School of Public Policy working with Dr. Zoltan J. Acs.'

 

This course contains over 28 lectures and 12.5 hours of content. During this course, Werheiser and Miller teach using the foremost authorities in the social enterprenuership field like the Skoll Foundation, NetImpact, AmeriCorps, Tulane University resources, and their own expertise that combines to provide nearly 40 years of experience in this relatively young industry. And to cap it off, a certificate can be provided upon completion!

Unite for Sight is a reknown international organization that works towards expanding sight and holistic health programs globally. As part of their efforts, they developed the Global Health University (GHU) where indivduals and professionals can pursue over 20 self paced online certificates in areas like:

THE Massachusettes Institute of Technology (MIT) forever changed the game when students and the univeristy got together and developed a platform for free undergraduate and graduate learning that provided rigorous educational oppurtunites to individuals, professionals, even high schoolers that might not otherwise get the oppurutnity to 'attend' a university like MIT. Though students do not recieve credit, certification, or a degree for completing the courses, the education and knowledge gained by completing a course and unmatched and uncomparable.
